Workplace violence or abuse among nurses in Canada in 2023
According to a survey conducted in 2023, nearly nine in ten nurses in Canada had experienced verbal abuse from clients in the past year. Furthermore, 64 percent of respondents reported being physically abused by clients in the past year. Abuse doesn't just come from clients or patients, but also from colleagues, with over six in ten nurses being verbally abused by colleagues in the past year.
