Responding to a 2023 survey, a third of IT and data center managers across the globe said that their digital infrastructure management teams were very concerned by the need to improve energy performance for facilities equipment. Power usage effectiveness (PUE) figures suggest that energy efficiency gains in the data center industry have levelled off in recent years, with further improvements requiring significant capital investment.
