Women's March Madness: TV viewership in the U.S. 2019-2024

During the 2024 NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Championship - known otherwise as March Madness - the average TV audience in the United States during the entire tournament stood at 2.2 million viewers. This represented an increase of 121 percent from the previous year and a record high since ESPN gained broadcasting rights in 1996. The tournament's championship game also broke viewership records, exceeding the men's final for the first time in history, with an audience of nearly 19 million viewers.
