Household electricity demand in the United States has been relatively stable throughout the past decade, with sales amounting to around 1.4 petawatt-hours per year. In 2022, residential electricity use added up to 1,522 terawatt-hours, an over three percent year-over-year growth. This was the highest figure recorded since the beginning of the century.
