From 2003 to 2019, figures decreased by 17.60 U.S. dollars per megawatt hour. Initially, between 2003 and 2009, levelized wind power prices rose to its peak, at 70.86 U.S. dollars per megawatt hour. From 2010 onwards, wholesale wind power prices dropped. As of 2019, levelized wind power prices stood at 18.06 U.S. dollars per megawatt hour.
