Eni reported an operating revenue of 93.7 billion euros in 2023, down from an all-time high of more than 130 billion euros the previous year. Eni is an Italian oil and gas company founded in 1953 and considered one of the oil supermajors - the largest public oil and gas companies in the world. Apart from oil and gas extraction, the company is also active in the refining, chemicals manufacturing, and power generating sector, thus active in the entire oil and gas supply chain. It derives the majority of its revenue from refining activities and petroleum product sales.
