Survey about the probability of a better life than one's parents 2012 This statistic shows the results of a survey among American students in grades 5 through 12 on the probability of having a better life than their parents in the future. The survey was conducted at the end of 2012. Some 43 percent of all polled students believed it was very likely that they would have a better life than their parents.
