Share of gardens where wildlife is seen in the United Kingdom (UK) 2014, by animal
This statistic shows the result of an investigation into the prevalence of wildlife in gardens in the United Kingdom in 2014. The wildlife most commonly spotted at least once per month is detailed here. The difference between the number of native red squirrel sightings and those of grey squirrels is significant. The native red squirrels have struggled to survive since the introduction of grey squirrels. This is due largely to a lethal pox virus transmitted by the greys.
