This statistic compares the prices of tickets for a single journey on London buses paying with cash and with oyster pay-as-you-go (PAYG) between 2004 and 2016. The price difference between cash and oyster card paid single journey tickets in 2004 was 30 pence, going up to 85 pence in 2014. After 2014 buses in London were made cash-free.
