This statistic shows the price of a one day travel card for use on London public transport between 2002 and 2015. The price for a one day travelcard remained at 10 British pounds between 2009 and 2011 before increasing to 10.60 British pounds in 2012. The price has increased every year since.
In 2016, a one day travelcard cost 12.10 British pounds, while the Oyster pay as you go zones were capped at 9.30 British pounds in the same year.

* This statistic also compares the Oyster card Pay As You Go (PAYG) cap for the years 2013 to 2015. A PAYG cap limits the amount you can spend with an oyster card, so in 2013, once you paid 10.60 GBP on travel, you would no longer have to pay for further travel.
