Total personnel working for British Airways worldwide 2008-2015 This statistic shows the total number of personnel working for British Airways Plc worldwide between 2008 and 2015. The number of British Airways employees was falling after the global recession, but it began to pick up again in 2011 and grew to over 42,000 employees in 2015, although this was still lower than the number of personnel in 2008. British Airways is the flagship airline for the United Kingdom (UK). After the aforementioned drop in 2007/2008, British Airways Plc regained momentum and increased its personnel numbers from 2010 onwards, British Airways Plc grew from 38,289 persons employed in 2010 to more than 42,300 British Airways Plc members in 2015. This amounts to an increase in personnel by approximately 11 percent from 2010 to 2015. From 2014 to 2015 the number of people working for British Airways Plc rose from 41,916 in 2014 to 42,322 in 2015.
