The aviation industry is one of the biggest CO2 emitters worldwide. In 2019, the British aviation industry alone released 38.2 million tons of Co2 into the air. However, the country plans to gradually decrease the greenhouse gas emissions related to aviation operations until 2050, when they want to reduce the emission level to 19.3 MtCO2.
