This statistic shows the number of licensed heavy goods vehicles in the East of England from 1995 to 2017, in thousand vehicles. The number of vehicles was increasing steadily between 1997 and 2000 after which the number of licensed vehicles began a slow decline. However, the number of heavy goods vehicles in the region has been increasing again since 2015. In 2017 there were 50.3 thousand licensed HGVs in the East of England.
