This statistic shows the total number of long-term care pharmacy providers in the United States from 2005 to 2015. In 2009, there were 1,200 long-term care pharmacy providers. Among Americans over the age of 65, almost 70 percent will require long-term care. As the U.S. senior population grows, there will be increased pressure from the quantity and quality of long-term health care facilities.
