UK: nuclear power and climate change 2021

A 2021 survey found that only 11 percent of United Kingdom's respondents did not believe that nuclear energy will help combat climate change in the United Kingdom. By comparison, 43 percent of the respondents supported nuclear energy as an energy source that will help combat climate change. The largest share of the respondents, however, did not have a strong opinion on the topic.

Survey methodology in 2012 was a Kantar face-to-face omnibus survey. In 2021, the random probability survey ABOS (Address Based Online Survey) was introduced, for which the respondents are randomly selected based on their postcode address file. Due to a change in survey methodology, the source states that direct comparisons between time series is not possible.
