Global estimated number of drug-related deaths by region 2014
This statistic shows the estimated number of drug-related deaths globally in 2014, by world region. During this year, there was an estimated 9,200 drug-related deaths in Western and Central Europe. Health problems related to the use of illicit drugs remains a global health burden as many of the users have no access to treatment.
