In 2019, the largest share of investments made by property and casualty (P/C) insurance companies in Canada was in bonds. Around 68 percent of the investments of P/C insurance companies in Canada were in bonds in that year, followed by almost ten percent of investments in shares. The third place ranking is completed by term deposits, in which approximately 4.4 percent of investments were made.
