Leading non-life insurance groups in Italy 2017-2018, by gross written premiums
In 2018, Unipol was the leading insurance groups in the non-life sector in Italy in terms of gross written premiums. The company reported a premium income of approximately 7.9 billion euros. Generali ranked second, as in the ranking of the previous year, with gross written premiums worth 5.75 billion euros. Third in the ranking was Allianz, which reported a premium income of 4.9 billion euros.
