The gross written premiums for both the life insurance and general insurance segments of Aviva Plc in the United Kingdom and Ireland increased overall between 2014 and 2022, albeit with some fluctuation. Aviva Plc is a multinational life insurance group based in the United Kingdom, and gross written premiums are the sum of both direct and assumed premiums written before taking into account reinsurance ceded. In 2022, the life insurance gross written premiums of Aviva Plc amounted to just over nine billion British pounds. At the same time, gross written premiums from general insurance amounted to approximately 5.7 billion British pounds.
