This statistic illustrates the households presenting as homeless in Northern Ireland as of 2018/2019, by eventual outcome. It can be seen that there were 2668 households presenting as homeless that had the outcome of duty discharged at that time. Duty discharged is where the applicant has been awarded full duty status and has then been either re-housed, has been offered and rejected three reasonable households for accommodation or the applicant has re-housed him/herself and is no longer interested in being re-homed.

No decision: Homelessness application is still being processed.

Prevented: Homelessness has been prevented by an action or intervention by the Housing Executive, another agency or the applicant themselves.

Rejected: Applicant does not meet the statutory homelessness criteria.
