In 2020, Mexico's busiest international airports recorded strong declines in the number of air passengers handled. For instance, the passenger traffic at Mexico City International Airport dropped by 67 percent in relation to 2019. In CancĂșn, the country's main beach destination, the decline of international air passenger traffic reached nearly 59 percent.
