Share of entities cyber security attacks are reported to by businesses in the UK 2018 This statistic displays the share of entities that businesses report the most disruptive cyber security breaches or attacks to in the United Kingdom (UK) in 2018. Among all respondents, 18 percent reported the most disruptive breach to bank, building society or credit card company and police, whereas 20 percent reported it to the internet service provider. On the other hand, seven percent of respondents reported to website administrators. Cyber security is designed to protect networks, computers, programs and data from an attack or an unauthorized access. Excluding the police, there is very little reporting of cyber security breaches to public sector agencies such as Action Fraud.
