In the first quarter of 2024, 15.3 million individuals in Italy were permanently employed. In addition, three million people were temporary employees, whereas five million individuals were self-employed. Since the first quarter of 2019, the number of permanent workers gradually increased, while figures for those with a temporary contract and the self-employed remained stable.
