Total number of residential properties purchased by UK buyers in the U.S. 2010-2021
The total number of residential properties purchased by buyers from the United Kingdom in the United States significantly declined between 2010 to 2021. In 2021, there were approximately 3,800 residential properties sold to UK buyers while about 27,100 properties were sold in 2010. As of 2022, the value of all homes purchased by foreign buyers was over 59 billion U.S. dollars.
