Average price of property per square meter in France 2016 This statistic shows the average price per square meter of property in France as of July 2016. In 2016, the average property price per square meter in France reached 2,300 euros. In cities where the square meter price increased during this period, the high range of real estate prices per square meter averaged more than 6,000 euros against 1,110 euros for the low range. The real estate year in 2016 was marked by an increase in sales. This increase in transactions in the real estate market can be explained in particular by this change in property prices per square meter. In major French cities such as Paris or Lyon, the trend is towards an increase in property prices. These variations can be explained by sustained demand and limited supply that automatically leads to higher prices in Paris as well as in its suburbs and major French cities.
