Average distance to a sports accommodation in the Netherlands 2015, by social status

The Netherlands Institute for Social Research (SCP) calculates statusscores which indicate the social level of a neighborhood, in relation to other neighborhoods in the Netherlands. This statusscore is based on several characteristics from the population in the neighborhood, such as education, income and their position on the job market. Based on these statusscores, ranking numbers were assigned to all Dutch neighborhoods.

For this statistic, the source sorted these ranking numbers with percentiles in seven different levels of social status. The source adds that "on the peripheral ares relatively many neighborhoods can be found with a low social status, while in the Randstad and the center of the Netherlands many neighborhoods have a higher social status".
