Mexico: primary energy supply share 2018, by source

In 2018, nearly 43 percent of Mexico's primary energy supply originated from natural gas. That same year, renewable sources (including firewood, nuclear, bagasse, hydropower, geothermal, solar, wind and biogas) accounted for less than 17 percent of the national energy supply.
