Volume of cargo in ports across India FY 2022, by type
In financial year 2022, major ports in the country handled about 720 million metric tons of cargo, while non-major ports handled about 603 million metric tons during the measured period. There was as increase in the cargo volume handled by both the port types compared to the previous year.
