Trenord S.r.l. employs over 4,000 people and is the only company in Italy that deals exclusively with public transport by rail of a single region. Lombardy is the most "mobile" area in Italy, where more than 714,000 people - approximately 180 million passengers per year - travel by train every day.
According to the survey, about 41 percent of respondents who used the train did so for comfort reasons.
