Brazil: main product categories handled at ports 2019, by import throughput

Fuel oil derivates and fertilizers were the leading product categories handled in Brazilian ports based on import cargo volume in 2019. This year, the most handled product category by import throughput was fuel oil derivates, with an annual import cargo volume of approximately 26.9 million metric tons, followed by fertilizers with 26.6 million metric tons of import throughput. Soybean was the main product handled in Brazilian ports based on export cargo volume.
