French households savings rate 2010-2022

The household savings rate in France dropped slightly in 2022. That savings rate peaked in 2021, when it reached 19.6 percent of their disposable income. However, the biggest year to year increase was in 2020. While French households saved 14.8 percent of their disposable personal income in 2019, that figure reached 18.6 percent in 2020. From 2010 to 2019, the savings rate was relatively stable, fluctuating between 13.8 and 15.8 percent.
