Credit cards in circulation in Cyprus 2000-2021

The total number of payment cards with a credit function in Cyprus from 2013 to 2020 decreased over time with fluctuation. In 2020 there were approximately 222 thousand cards with a credit function in Cyprus. This is a strong decline compared to the 268 thousand cards recorded in the previous year. The highest number of cards with a credit function was reached in 2013, with a total of approximately 351 thousand. In 2020, 1.46 billion euros worth of credit card payments were made in Cyprus.
