Domestic coastal tourism in the Netherlands 2018, by area
As of 2018, most domestic coastal tourists went to the North sea region, which resulted in approximately 2.16 million domestic coastal holidays. Roughly one million holidays were spent on the Wadden sea region, containing the islands Texel, Vlieland, Terschelling, Ameland and Schiermonnikoog. The total domestic coastal holidays amounted to roughly 3.2 million.
