Crude oil imports from South America to Japan FY 2020, by oil type
In the fiscal year 2020, the import volume of Napo crude oil from Ecuador to Japan amounted to over 2.4 million kiloliters, making up the largest import volume of crude oil from South America. Japan lacks domestic reserves of fossil fuels and is therefore heavily dependent on imports.
