Frequency of going to the movies in the U.S. 2022, by region
As of May 2022, about 45 percent of internet users surveyed in the Northeast of the United States said they went to the movies often or sometimes. Around half of respondents from the Midwest region stated that they rarely or never went to see a film in theaters. Overall, moviegoing frequency in the U.S. was higher in the 18-34 age group in 2022.
