* Foreign direct investment flows constitute the set of Spanish investments abroad by means of which the Spanish investor seeks to obtain the management control of a foreign company (the investment of 10% or more of the shares confers the right to vote in a society). Home This statistic focuses on the gross investment (without discounting the liquidations of investments or divestitures) through operations carried out by Foreign Securities Entities (ETVE). These are instrumental companies whose existence obeys strategies of fiscal optimization within the same business group. This type of investment has purely fiscal purposes, so it is often also referred to as non-productive investment.
