Over the period from 2014 to 2019, bank or credit card was the payment method most commonly used, with 86 percent of the respondents surveyed during 2019. The usage of PayPal fluctuated during the evaluated period, reaching 37 percent of users in 2019, which was an increase, compared to 2014. As of 2019, one percent of the interviewed Norwegians reported to be using Apple Pay.
