AESAN: budget expenditure in Spain 2003-2022
In 2022, the budget expenditure of the Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (AESAN) amounted to around 21.1 million euros, up from nearly 16 million euros reported a year prior. The budget allocated to this government agency, in charge of ensuring food safety and promoting healthy nutrition, increased by about 33 percent compared to 2012, when it reached approximately 15.9 million euros. The consolidated budget of the State Administration Authorities on health in Spain reached roughly 6.7 billion euros in 2022.
