General Health Social Security members in Colombia 2014-2022
In 2022, around 94.7 percent of Colombia's population was affiliated with the public health care system, up from 93 percent reported a year earlier. This figure fluctuated since the beginning of the depicted period, when the share of inhabitants with public health insurance amounted to about 94.1 percent. Moreover, Colombia is expected to allocate nearly nine percent of its gross domestic product (GDP) to health care by 2028.
