
Chile: greenhouse gas emissions of copper mining 2010-2018
Direct greenhouse gas emissions of the copper mining industry in Chile amounted to more than six million metric tons of CO2 in 2018, up from 5.98 million tons a year earlier. This is the highest value reported in the past nine years, and represents an increase of approximately 40 percent in comparison to 2010, when the industry's emissions totaled 4.34 million tons.
