The statistic depicts the results of a survey carried out in Colombia in 2017. When asked if they could read and write, 1.3 percent of respondents aged 26 to 40 stated answered negatively. Among respondents aged 65 or more, 85.3 percent of the people surveyed said they were able to read and write.
