This statistic shows the preferred number of days in a working week according to adults in Canada from 1981 to 2018. The findings show that in 1981, 43 percent of Canadians said that they would prefer to work four 10-hour days rather than five 8-hour days, a figure which rose to 48 percent in 1990. As of 2018, 68 percent of Canadians said that they would prefer to work longer hours over the course of fewer days.
