
Consumers eating out or takeaways in the last week in Spain 2008-2017
This statistic shows the proportion of Spanish adults who had eaten meals prepared outside the home in the 7 days prior to being interviewed between 2008 and 2017. The results are broken down by meals or snacks eaten on the premises of a pub, restaurant or cafe, takeaway meals eaten off premises and meals or snacks delivered to the home. Of respondents, 28 percent had eaten takeaway meals off the premises where they were prepared in 2017 and 39 percent had meals delivered to their home. Combined, this was almost equal to the share of those eating in restaurants and other food premises.
