This statistic displays the forecasted results of the change in the low tariff VAT burden in the Netherlands between 2018 and 2019 (in billion euros). There are three VAT tariffs in the Netherlands: 0 percent, 6 percent and 21 percent. As of January 2019, the low VAT tariff will increase from six to nine percent. This measure will increase the government income by an estimated 3.1 billion euros, of which 2.3 billion will be paid by Dutch households.
