Preserved food production volume Japan 2019, by packaging
In 2019, the production volume of preserved foodstuff packaged in retort pouches in Japan amounted to around 383.2 thousand tons, accounting for around half of the preserved food produced in the country. Round tin cans followed in second, with fishery products, prepared meals, and vegetables representing major commodities.
