Leading countries for European FDI projects 2017

This statistic illustrates the leading source countries globally for foreign direct investment (FDI) into Europe in 2017, by the number of projects. In 2017, the United States was the leading source of foreign direct investment projects into Europe with a total of 1,381. This was more than double the number of FDI projects from Germany, ranking in second place with 664. Of the top 15 source countries for FDI projects, ten were European.
