Share of people borrowing money from financial institutions Malaysia 2018 by type
The statistic shows the results of a survey about the share of individuals taking out a loan with financial institutions in Malaysia in 2018, by type of population. In the period surveyed, the highest share of respondents who borrowed money from financial institutions was among the richest 60 percent of people, with around 21 percent. In total, about 12 percent of all surveyed people borrowed money from financial institutions.
