This statistic displays the estimated export volume of electronic waste (WEEE) by select countries in the European Union (EU-28) to developing countries. The figures are based on an investigation in which trackers were put on electronic waste and placed in recycling facilities. The figures show that the United Kingdom (UK) was by far the biggest exporter of electronic waste, with an estimated 209,222 metric tons exported to developing countries, including Tanzania, Pakistan and Nigeria.
