
Percentage change in coverage of mandatory vaccines in Italy 2018, by vaccine
Among mandatory vaccines, the vaccination rate against rubella was the one registering the biggest increase between 2016 and 2018 in Italy. According to data, the coverage against this disease increased by 7.12 percent for children in birth cohort 2015 compared to those in birth cohort 2014. In addition, the vaccination rate against measles and parotitis both registered increases of around seven percent. On the other hand, the coverage against varicella (chickenpox) decreased by 1.86 percent.
