Women are More Successful and More Efficient
Crowdfunding
When it comes to crowdfunding, women have proven to be 23 percent more successful in reaching their target than men. This is the result of a recent study by Crowdfunding Center and PwC which analyzed 450,000 seed-crowdfunding campaigns. Not only did women yield significantly higher results across several sectors but also higher contributions on average when compared to their male counterparts.
The CEO of The Crowdfunding Centre, Barry James, remarked: “It’s time to adjust our assumptions and so our perception. These findings pose a serious challenge to current entrepreneurial and business norms, and especially decision making, pointing to a deep-rooted and destructive bias, albeit unconscious.”
